Visa, Sberbank and Eventim Provide Safe Online Payments to the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games using CyberSource payment management platform

Visa, Worldwide Sponsor of the Olympic Games, Sberbank, General Partner of the XXII Olympic Winter games and Eventim, Sochi 2014 Supplier, enable consumers to securely purchase tickets online for Sochi 2014 using Visa’s CyberSource payment and fraud management solutions. Via the Sochi 2014 website (, consumers can buy tickets for their preferred sports, seamlessly and safely in advance of the Olympic Winter Games.

Acquired by Visa in 2010, CyberSource’s payment management platform allows it to more accurately assess incoming orders for fraud, returning a decision to accept, reject or review bookings in real time. The risk of fraud is minimised, while orders from genuine customers speed through.

The service was implemented via a partnership with the acquirer of the Sochi 2014 ticketing website, Sberbank. Eventim provides a safe online ticketing platform that combines technological and operational know-how, state of the art systems and ticketing expertise.
