Server Release Notes for August 19, 2008

These release notes apply to the ICS test and production servers.

Enhanced Case Management: Case Priority

Enhanced Case Management (ECM) is available as an add-on feature to Decision Manager Advanced Edition. Case ownership, a key component of ECM, was released in May 2008. Case ownership enables you to assign case reviewers to monitor specific transaction queues and enables case reviewers to take ownership of the cases in those queues. Identity verification was released in July 2008. Identity verification enables case reviewers to call third parties to verify the identities of customers.

The August 2008 release extends ECM capabilities to include case priority, which enables you to control which cases are displayed and reviewed first:

  • On the case management search results screen, orders that need to be reviewed are displayed in priority order.
  • The priority of a case in the review queue is determined by the priorities of the Decision Manager rules that triggered the review.
  • By adjusting the priorities of the Decision Manager rules, you can control the priorities of the cases in the review queue. You can assign these priorities on a rule-by-rule basis.

Decision Manager Update: Obscenities Hedge

The obscenities hedge enables you to control the weight that obscenities carry in the scoring of an order. Without the hedge, an obscenity detected in a customer's name or email address causes the transaction to automatically score out. The new obscenities hedge enables you to adjust the importance of an obscenity in the overall scoring. For more information, see the Decision Manager Developer's Guide.

New Feature for Barclays

Support for the cash advance feature was added to the Barclays gateway. A cash advance allows a customer to use a credit card to purchase foreign currency or travelers checks. For more information, see the Credit Card Services Implementation Guide.

New Features for Asia-Mideast Processing

Support for the following features was added to the Asia-Mideast Processing gateway:

  • Verbal authorizations: You can capture verbally-authorized transactions.
  • Forced captures: You can process an authorization outside the CyberSource system and then capture the order through CyberSource.
  • Stand-alone credits: You can issue a credit that is not linked to a previous capture.

New Features for BML Direct

Support for the following features was added to the BML Direct gateway:

  • Multiple partial captures: You can perform one authorization and then perform multiple partial captures for that authorization.
  • Multiple partial credits: You can perform one capture and then issue multiple partial credits for that capture.
