With minor modifications pasted into your Web script, your Web store will forward customers who are ready to check out to a hosted, PCI-compliant order form. (You have the option to customize the basic content and look of your Hosted Order Page, but we provide a default setup to get you started. The setup includes the information you require your customers to provide when they place an order.) When your customer clicks 'Buy' on your Web site, they are forwarded to your secure hosted order form where they enter their own order data. Transition to this hosted order form is virtually transparent to the customer.
From the Hosted Order Page, your customer clicks 'Submit' to confirm their purchase, and the order information enters CyberSource's system.
CyberSource sends a request for approval to your processor in real time. Your processor then sends you a reply containing order & payment information.
You use the reply information to display a message to the customer about whether the order was approved. The reply can also include other information, such as shipping.
If you choose a Hosted Order Page, you can view the order in the Business Center, a central location for managing your online payment transactions. Approved transactions can be automatically submitted for funding or you may designate that an order be submitted for funding as you ship merchandise.
