Michael Walsh
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Walsh has over 20 years of experience in the technology and financial services industries. After joining CyberSource in 1998, he took over North American sales in 2000 and played a key role in leading the company through the "dot com" bubble and bust. In 2004, he was named Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Services. In this role, Mr. Walsh led the expansion of CyberSource into emerging markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America. After five years in that position, Michael Walsh was named President and Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2010.

Mr. Walsh played a key role in doubling the size of the CyberSource footprint in the payment space through the $660 million acquisition of Authorize.Net in 2007. Combining the two companies gave CyberSource the leadership position in both the large merchant as well as the small and medium sized merchant ecommerce segments. In 2010, he led negotiations that resulted in Visa's $2 billion acquisition of CyberSource Corporation, bringing Visa a powerful presence in the merchant payment space.

Prior to CyberSource, Mr. Walsh held sales and business development positions at Oracle Corporation and Merrill Lynch. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from The University of California at Irvine.
