Netshoes, the largest conglomerate of online sports and leisure stores in Latin America, continues to invest strongly in fraud management. That is why it has chosen CyberSource, a Visa company (NYSE: V), as its fraud management solutions provider for its online sales. With this partnership, Netshoes expects to increase its operating margins by avoiding fraudulent orders ensuring, at the same time, a positive experience to its customers. Braspag had already associated with CyberSource to integrate and distribute the solution in its payment gateway.
Through this partnership, Netshoes obtains access to Decision Manager, the world’s largest fraud detection radar that provides all the necessary resources for automating and simplifying fraud management operations. Each transaction is evaluated by over 260 simultaneous validation tests in about 2 seconds. Results, including detailed assessment of anomalies as well as a computed risk score, are further evaluated by an intelligent system according to rules previously set by Netshoes. At that point, the order is automatically accepted, rejected or submitted for additional manual review through a management panel.
“Netshoes Risk Department was already a market benchmark. Using only our internal systems of exhaustive analysis, we have always managed to guarantee our customers safety and a speedy delivery. However, when our sales volume increased, we needed to invest even more in technology and processes. The Risk Department needed to keep, mainly focusing manual review on more suspicious orders and increasing automatic acceptance of those orders submitted by good customers. Using CyberSource solution, we managed to reduce the time of order delivery to the distribution center and we increased data range for a more assertive decision-making. As a result, we are offering our customers a higher quality service,” highlights George Pozzobon, Risk and Recovery Manager at Netshoes.
“With CyberSource Decision Manager fraud solution, Netshoes will have a sophisticated fraud management system which will not only detect fraud more accurately and much faster, but also reduce operating costs, thus taking automatic order approval to a new level”, said Fernando Souza, General Director of CyberSource Brazil.
