CyberSource® Powers Top Confectioners' Online Stores

Godiva.com and JellyBelly.com Select CyberSource Payment Services for eCommerce Back-End

New York, NY, Faifield and San Jose, Calif. November 2, 1999
CyberSource Corporation (Nasdaq: CYBS), a leading developer and provider of real-time eCommerce transaction services, today announced that leading confectioners, Godiva Chocolatier and Herman Goelitz Candy Company, makers of Jelly Belly® gourmet jelly beans, have selected the CyberSource Internet Commerce Suite™ to power their eCommerce back-end transaction services.

Godiva.com and Jelly Belly.com are using CyberSource Payment Services to enable a fast, convenient and fully automated online checkout process for their consumers. In addition, both companies developed their sites on platforms from authorized CyberSource partners Microsoft and InterShop, respectively.

"CyberSource is pleased to support Godiva.com and JellyBelly.com in time for the busy holiday season," said Erna Arnesen, vice president of North American Field Operations for CyberSource. "We are excited about extending our services to traditional retailers and making their transition to Internet shopping safe and easy."

Godiva Chocolatier was one of the first luxury brands to go interactive, launching its Web Site in 1995. Since then, sales have grown steadily and the world famous super-premium chocolate maker expects to reach record online sales during the 1999 eHoliday shopping season. The Godiva Web site offers an online gift reminder service and newsletter. Customers can also purchase gift certificates online.

"We're looking forward to a growing relationship with CyberSource," said Archibold van Beuren, president of Godiva Chocolatier. "CyberSource currently handles the transaction services for our online gift certificates and, as a luxury marketer committed to excellent customer service, we're excited about the range of services they have to offer. As our business grows, it's good to know that CyberSource can grow with us, with ease."

Herman Goelitz Candy Company - better known as the maker of Jelly Belly - expects to sell enough Jelly Belly beans in 1999 to circle the earth four times. Their heavily trafficked Web site provides visitors with a virtual factory tour, the chance to learn about candymaking, and a busy online store offering a range of Jelly Belly products, including all 40 flavors.

"CyberSource looks after our payment services, in real-time, so when customers place an order on our Web site we get real-time authorization and processing of their credit cards," said Rob Muller, marketing manager for Herman Goelitz Candy Company. "We can work on making great candies, and leave the back-end processing to CyberSource with confidence."
