Kenneth R. Thornton Joins CyberSource® Board of Directors

Mountain View, Calif., February 13, 2001

CyberSource Corporation (Nasdaq: CYBS), a leading provider of mission-critical eCommerce transaction software and services, and a pioneer in Internet fraud detection, announced today that Kenneth R. Thornton, General Manager, Public Sector at IBM, will join CyberSource's Board of Directors.

Thornton leads IBM Public Sector business operations worldwide. His responsibilities include all business strategies and solutions in government, healthcare and education markets: sales, marketing, application solutions, services and business partner alliances. Thornton has held a variety of positions at IBM including General Manager, Government Industry, Vice President and General Manager, mid-Atlantic commercial region and Director of Federal Marketing Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Barton College, Wilson, North Carolina, and certificates of study from University of Berkeley Business School and Harvard Business School.
