CyberSource Named NorthFace ScoreBoard Award Winner

Cited for "exemplary service to its customers"

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.,February 19, 2003

CyberSource Corporation (NASDAQ: CYBS) announced today it has been named a winner of this year's Omega Management Group NorthFace ScoreBoard Award for customer satisfaction. CyberSource was recognized in two categories—the company's payment service product and its technical support. The award is presented annually to companies that "not only offer exemplary service to its customers, but also center their existence on a deep commitment to exceed all customer expectations." The awards will be presented at the Omega NorthFace Forum Conference in Waltham, Mass., on March 12, 2003.

Qualification for the award is a year-long process involving scheduled periodic measurement, via telephone survey, of customer satisfaction. In the case of CyberSource, company performance in the year 2002 was graded by Omega Management through quarterly calls to customers doing high volumes of electronic commerce transactions using CyberSource's hosted suite of payment and risk management services. To be considered for the award, companies must earn an average score from its customers of at least 4.0 out of a possible 5.0. According to Omega Management Group, "Achieving a 4.0 or above is building customer loyalty. This is the level, we believe, that significantly raises the bar on your competitors." CyberSource was one of 26 companies chosen for the distinction this year.
