Build and Release
Build and Release engineering is the backbone of all development within Cybersource. Build and Release engineering is in essence the compilation, assembly and delivery of finished products or software components. Within CyberSource, the scope of the role is wide and varied spanning across multiple disciplines including: configuration management, version control and automation.
As a Build and Release Engineer with CyberSource, you will be responsible for supporting the release needs of multiple agile software development teams. You will become a valued asset to the production teams responsible for providing expertise and assistance throughout the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will be familiar with multiple release methods, tools and SCM systems and use this knowledge to maintain and improve the toolset to follow industry best practice or as appropriate.

As a Build and Release Engineer with CyberSource, you will be responsible for supporting the release needs of multiple agile software development teams. You will become a valued asset to the production teams responsible for providing expertise and assistance throughout the development lifecycle for any build/release/version-control change requirements. The successful candidate will be familiar with multiple release methods, tools and SCM systems and use this knowledge to maintain and improve the tool set to follow industry best practice or as appropriate.
Qualifications
Our Ideal Candidate will bring:
- 3+ years experience in release and configuration management roles
- Confident in taking responsibility for the functionality, availability, and reliability of our software build and release processes
- Experience with software version control systems (AccuRev a plus, or Subversion, ClearCase, Perforce)
- Knowledge of RCM concepts (codelines, branching, merging, integration, versioning, etc.)
- Experience with one or more integration/automated build tools (Anthill, BuildForge, CruiseControl)
- Experience with structured build files/tools (msbuild, ant, Maven/POM)
- Working knowledge of a scripting language (Perl, Python, Nant, VBScript)
- Knowledge of Windows and *nix based OS (Linux, Solaris, Windows 2000,2003 server)
- Exposure to .NET and Java web environments (IIS, Websphere, JBoss, Tomcat)
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Exceptional attention to detail, taking ownership and pride in their work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
- Understanding of the software development life-cycle
- Exposure to agile methods (scrum, sprints, continuous integration) a plus
