Recurring Payments: New Replacement Expiration Date

Barclays: Final Authorization Indicator

The final authorization indicator supports a mandate from MasterCard. The purpose of the mandate is to prevent a consumer’s funds from being unavailable when there is a risk that the order will not be fulfilled. This mandate applies to you if your acquirer is in the MasterCard Europe region, which includes Russia. Elavon: Gateway Updates

Support was added for the following features:

  • Final authorization indicator. This indicator supports a mandate from MasterCard. The purpose of the mandate is to prevent a consumer’s funds from being unavailable when there is a risk that the order will not be fulfilled. This mandate applies to you if your acquirer is in the MasterCard Europe region, which includes Russia.
  • Recipients. In the United Kingdom there is a regulation that permits cardholders to use a debit card to pay outstanding debt for another person. To help reduce the high levels of fraud that occur for these kinds of transactions, you must include information about the recipient in the authorization request.
  • Recurring payments.
