Challenge

Iconic motorcycle brand Harley-Davidson wanted to expand their online store beyond North America to sell merchandise to international fans – specifically in Europe, where customers had been unable to order items direct to their doors. To do this, they first needed to get their payment systems in new territories up to speed. Secondly, they needed to understand the culture and ensure they accommodated the different ways people prefer to pay across Europe.

In each market Harley-Davidson expanded into, we enabled multiple payment methods via our Payment Gateway and others. We also helped keep sensitive customer payment data secure with our Token Management Service and provided a suite of fraud management solutions. The result? Harley-Davidson’s online shop is open in nine countries – including the UK, France, Germany, and Italy – and transaction volume in Europe doubled between April and September 2021. Even better, customers in Europe now feel closer to a brand they love.
