For the entirety of his career, Shaz has been engaged, involved in, and surrounded by payments within the issuer, acquirer, gateway, merchant, and scheme domains. His vertical expertise includes travel (airline and hotel), telecom, and quick service restaurants. He’s particularly passionate about and focused on payments, finance, and technology as it engages with ideas around fintech and gateway solutions. Shaz has worked with well-versed gateways and  risk solutions globally and travelled the globe looking at client solutions. In the past 10 years, he’s expanded his insights within the African ecosystem, Middle East solutions and partners, and more recently, alternative payment solutions. Being a client himself, Shaz understands the need and the value required by partners and is able to align this with the value Visa offers.

 

Shaz is head of Cybersource, a Visa Solution for Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA). He is responsible for driving revenue from and for Cybersource clients and prospects across direct and indirect sales channels by delivering flexible, secure, and creative commerce experiences. Shaz also leads the transformation of Cybersource’s client engagement model and is pursuing options in QSR and travel in the CEMEA region.

 

Shaz holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Manchester University, Executive Leadership Program at the CASS Business School in London, and Diploma of Fintech and Blockchain from Oxford University.
