Mypinpad is a global leader in software payments solutions. Since 2019, Visa has been working with them to support their strategic, certified Tap to Phone (TTP) solution. This solution enables Mypinpad’s own clients to offer TTP to merchants without the need for complex development themselves.

Payments certification is complex, so Mypinpad takes it off their clients’ hands. Their TTP solution fully complies with PCI’s CPoC standard, and will soon comply with PCI’s recently published Mobile Payments on COTS (MPoC) standard, too.

Mypinpad and Stone create the first SoftPOS solution in Brazil

Mypinpad has been working with Stone, one of Brazil’s leading payments acquirers, to create the first TTP solution in Brazil—called TapTon.

Stone is a leading fintech company who was born to serve the Brazilian entrepreneur, transforming their dreams into results, with the principle of having a payment solution that is simple, easy, intuitive, and practical. TapTon makes it possible for more merchants to accept card payments, acquiring new customers and increasing sales.

Across Brazil, many micro entrepreneurs do not have a POS, which could be expensive for them. As a result, they often prefer cash or other payments, which are not always the consumer's choice. For the merchant, TapTon is a great solution to accept card payments only with their smartphone and not miss any sales.

TapTon was the first solution in Brazil that allows micro merchants to accept contactless payments using just their mobile devices, without the need for additional hardware. This makes it easier for them to conduct business on-the-go, and to accept payments from customers who may not carry cash. TapTon provides a reliable contactless alternative to help these sellers, while also enabling Stone to build their customer base and showcase other services and products.

Overall, Tap to Phone technology has the potential to digitalize the way micro merchants do business in Brazil, by making it easier and more convenient.

Mypinpad and CircleBluePay launch TTP across CEE

Mypinpad is collaborating with CircleBluePay, one of the fastest growing payment technology and service platforms in the CEE region. 

CircleBluePay has integrated Tap to Phone into its payment solutions, such as its joint solution with OTP Mobile to provide Tap to Phone to merchants across Hungary, and its joint solution with Intesa Sanpaolo to serve merchants with Tap to Phone in Slovakia, Croatia, and Hungary. Essential to this successful integration is the fact that Mypinpad’s solution is fully PCI certified.

The existence of the first certified PCI solution provided by Mypinpad has been the major trigger for us to make this choice.

Mypinpad and HelloPay launch in South Africa

Mypinpad is working with HelloPay, part of the Hello Group, to give micro businesses across South Africa access to the electronic payment ecosystem via Tap to Phone.

HelloPay is currently targeting small vendors, home-based businesses, and community markets, combining Tap to Phone with fixed transaction rates and no additional fees to encourage accelerated adoption.
