  • CyberSource payment management solutions enable Traveloka to accept more payments quickly and securely, ensuring payment reliability for customers

JAKARTA, Indonesia – 13 October 2015 – CyberSource, a Visa Inc. company (NYSE: V), and one of the world’s largest providers of eCommerce payment management services, today announced a partnership with Traveloka, Indonesia’s fast-growing online travel agency (OTA). This agreement allows Traveloka to provide reliable and secure payment services for its customers through web and mobile channels.

Through this partnership, Traveloka will be able to utilize CyberSource’s payment gateway services to process web and mobile payments from multiple issuers. To secure the checkout process, Traveloka will also deploy CyberSource Payment Tokenization, which replaces sensitive payment data with a unique identifier or token that cannot be mathematically reversed. The actual payment data is securely stored in CyberSource data centers, which are operated by Visa. Together with CyberSource Decision Manager, which features the World’s Largest Fraud Detection Radar, these solutions will help Traveloka to process a wider spectrum of payment methods in a fast and secure manner.

Since the launch of Traveloka in 2012, the company has grown from a flight metasearch engine to become the leader in Indonesia’s OTA market. The company provides vast selections of competitive hotel rates and tickets for domestic and international flights. It was essential for Traveloka to streamline and simplify its business operations to focus on more strategic business objectives and maintain its competitive advantage.

“As a leader in an emerging online travel market such as Indonesia, we believe that delivering a top-notch, end-to-end experience to our customers is instrumental to our growth. Our customer’s payment journey is a key component of this experience and we are delighted to partner with CyberSource, a trusted and established name in the payment management space. CyberSource solutions will enable us to deliver a faster and more convenient booking experience for our customers securely, especially with the TravelokaQuick feature on our mobile app and web channel,” said Samsu Sempena, Head of Commerce, Traveloka.

“Online travel sales in Indonesia is gaining momentum as Internet penetration grows and consumers increasingly shift to online transactions for convenience1. In addition, mobile transactions have boomed as the number of mobile phones equipped with data plans increases2. CyberSource recognizes that Indonesia’s thriving online travel market has immense growth potential. We are delighted to work with Traveloka to realize its goals, by providing a hassle-free, end-to-end, online payment experience which enhances customer experience and promotes customer loyalty,” said Chew Ann Wee, Senior Regional Director, Southeast Asia, CyberSource.
